It's Monday! What are you Reading? is hosted by Kathryn at The book Date. This is where you can talk about what you have read, what you are currently reading, and what you are about to read.

Hello,

I know this is a day late as I usually try to get this out on Monday but I got stuck on a project I was working on and forgot to write this out last night. So i decided to put this up tonight. This past week has been pretty busy with work and classes so i did not do as much reading though I did finish a book that I have been working on for a long time so I was glad to have finished it. I am reading a lighter fantasy book now and am hoping to finish it in the next week or so though I'm not entirely sure if I will be able to finish it or not.

Books I read last week:

A storm of swords (#3) by George R.R. Martin:

Wow! This book was definitely a wild ride for me. I have to admit that the first part was a little slow and it took me a while to get into it but once I got halfway it definitely picked up and the plots and twists didn't stop until the end of the book. I will definitely be picking up a feast for crows, though it will be a long while before I do (4.5 stars).

Captain blood by Rafael Sabatini:

This one was not quite as good but it was still interesting. I had a hard time at the beginning of the story but it picked up later in the story (4 stars).

What I am currently reading:

The library of fates by Aditi Khorana:

I needed a lighter read after finishing a storm of swords so i went ahead and chose the Library of Fates. So far it is interesting though I do have kind of mixed feelings about it right now. I am almost done with it though, and am hoping to finish it by the end of the week.

You against me by Jenny Downham:

This one seems okay so far. I have not been able to read it since I started it due to work and school but I am hoping to pick it up this week and finish it.

American Panda by Gloria Chao:

I have only read a few chapters of this one so far but it is really interesting and I love the main character. I will probably start this one as soon as I finish The library of fates.

Up Next:

So this is what I have planned for this week. I don't know if I will be able to get to all these books, but I am hoping to get to most of them.

I hope you guys have a good week!

Marybeth
